Theo is a nice and humble guy. Very good player, but too much expectaiton and pressure put on him at such a young age. He never fulfilled his potential imo due to injuries and playing wide and not down the middle etc but still had a good career but not a great one.

Best Team.. is about teamwork, balance and tactics... As well as ability individually... But if we are measuring by JUST individuals... Let's think among other European countries. Goalkeeper. Pickford has been brilliant for England, but Donnaruma and Maignon are probably better. Top 5 maybe at a push? Walker - Probably the best in Europe. LB - Top 10? CB PAIR - top 3-5 maybe? Midfield - top 2/3? Attack - top 1/2 The challenge is balance and teamwork. Rice, Foden, Bellingham are all top top players, but as a Three in midfield they have weaknesses.

I remember one year soon after the financial crisis when he re-negotiated his salary and his pay rise was equivalent of the increase in season ticket costs for the following year. I can’t be certain but I remember the season tickets price raised an additional 6m in and his pay rise was an addition 100k+ pw. It was hard for me to pay for mine and my son’s tickets but at least Theo was happy.
